I have entered the Dokdo essay for the past couple of years. Each year I have learned something new and interesting about Dokdo. However, this should year I came in first place and was given the opportunity to visit Dokdo Island.
Seeing the Korean people’s pride for Dokdo made me know one hundred percent that it is Korean’s Island. I am also very happy because telling my friends and relatives about the island made me feel happy because many of them did not even know about this struggle.
I want to spread awareness to everyone so that more people can back Korea so that some day the Korean people won’t have to try to prove it’s their island anymore.
