I researched about the evidences for Japanese ownership upon Dokdo and their ineffectiveness. Actually, before doing the research my knowledge was so insufficient that I couldn’t talk about Dokdo confidently. (it is one of the reasons that I chose my research question regarding Japanese ownership.)

However, after doing research about Dokdo to write the essay, I found a lot of interesting facts about Dokdo. (especially its geological and geographical importance and historical context regarding its genuine ownership)

It astonished me that my prior knowledge about the island was actually very lacking. To join such event was very valuable experience for me. I learned more about Dokdo, the island that we have to value, and now I can confidently say Dokdo belongs to Korea.
